The Lost House, Woodland camping........ Cornwall's best kept secret.
Trethowel, England, Verenigd Koninkrijk
About this micro camping
The Lost House is surrounded by woodland and has a number of areas suitable for tents, whether you want something close to the house, (an example of a Clay Captain's dwelling built in 1850 complete with walled garden) or something wilder in the woods.... we can cater for both tastes. True to it's name, secluded in the woodland, The Lost House is a flat 20 minute walk from St Austell town centre (and its main line railway/bus station) via a public footpath cycle/bridle way. The Lost House is reasonably close to the Eden project and about 4 miles from Cornwall's South coast. We are used to visitors, having provided hospitality for both Eden session artists and visitors over the years. Additional facilities such as internet access, meals, laundry etc can be arranged on request. Caravans, camping vans etc can be accommodated as can tent hire (Bell Tent/Hiking Tent etc) by prior arrangement if you want to arrive to a ready pitched tent.
The Lost House is acknowledged by our visitors as the perfect place to relax, chill out and leave the pressures of everyday life behind. If you have any questions please contact us and we look forward to welcoming you to our grounds.
We have plenty of parking and can accommodate tents, caravans and campervans our prices start at £6.00 per person per night, (four pounds per child) which includes the shower and toilet facilities. To be clear we are a private residence with a number of camping spaces around the house in our extensive grounds. The toilet facility and shower is on the ground floor of the house and accessible by our guests 24/7. We also have wild camping at the top of the hill (woodland and field) however these don't have good vehicle access and do not have facilities they are wild and require campers to be prepared accordingly.
To put things into context we first registered on this site when it was called Camp In My Garden, it has recently modified itself to be Campspace so I hope this helps contextualise our offer which has remained the same.
